Uber Scot Ltd has been granted a booking-office licence at Rosyth Business Centre in Fife following a special council licensing meeting on 22 September.
What changed
STV, reporting from the meeting, says 431 objections had been lodged. The council was advised that none could be considered because they did not meet the required signature rules, and the application was approved.
Why it matters
This is a local taxi and private-hire market development for Fife. It is not a national licensing change and does not alter rules for drivers elsewhere in the UK.
